Selecting a Pond Pump

High efficiency pumps are higher quality, will last longer and use less electricity. If project budget constraints are a concern, use a less expensive low efficiency pump. Pumps should be run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to keep the ecosystem functioning properly. Choosing a pump for a water garden should be based on a few job requirements. Desired flow, pumping height and electrical costs are all factors that need to be considered. The higher a pump needs to push the water, the less flow you are going to get out of that pump. The pump should turn the water over at least once an hour.

Submersible or inline pumps, for decorative ponds, fountains, waterfalls and aquariums. Energy saving, low operating cost, mag driven rotor.

Direct drive waterfall pumps, magnetic drive waterfall pumps and the Torpedo Pump, a high-flow / low-profile energy efficient pump.

Energy efficient and high head waterfall pump. Asynchronous motor. Excellent for pond filters, fountains & waterfalls.

Pondmaster Magnetic Drive Utility Pumps with pre-filter. Can be used submerged or in-line (externally),and have a two year limited warranty.
